Scanned
Images
All colour scans used should be pre-separated
into CMYK colour space. Do not include any colour management profiles
or Adobe PhotoShop's “PostScript
Colour Management” as this can cause CMYK data to be converted
to LAB by Acorobat Distiller. We recommend a target resolution of
300 dpi at printed size for all scanned images. (150 dpi should be
considered a minimum - some loss of quality may be noticeable at
this level).
Before supplying PDFs please check that the following points have
been addressed:-
1. All files are named so that they list in correct running order
when viewed
in alpha-numeric order, with a version number and PDF suffix.
2. All fonts are embedded.
3. All PDFs have been created to the same document size and page
size
and the page image is centred in the media box.
4. For perfect bound and section sewn work an appropriate spine
bleed is included.
5. Adobe PDF Preset should be of “Print
Quality”
